Find out more about Tune In

Crown Prince Alexander Foundation for education is initiating Programme for people with disabilities – “Tune In” with a goal to support their full inclusion into the society and thereby providing better chances for their employment.

Through this Programme Foundation wants not only to increase the awareness about the possibilities of people with disability, but also to increase their potential by organizing different trainings, lectures and speeches.

Based on international reports, Serbia has still a very low percentage of actively employed persons with disabilities. The reason for this is, as many assume, not only on the side of employers. The people with disabilities are often not ready to enter the labor market and unwilling to change their social status. In order to improve their position we have to address both sides and to deal with this issue gradually.

This programme was officially launched through Nick Vujicic’s lecture which will be for managers from socially responsible companies in Serbia, people with disabilities and governmental and non-governmental institutions.

The main activity of the project is providing different trainings, courses and lectures for people with disabilities which include:

  • Life skills
  • Motivation
  • Specific trainings (computer skills, formal writing, language courses, etc.)
  • Employment and self-employment skills

After successful trainings Foundation will organize round tables with representatives of government and non-governmental sector, business sector and media. Together they will create a Guideline for improving the life of people with disabilities.
