Crown prince Alexander awards the best high school graduates of Serbia and Republica of Srpska

Belgrade, June 30, 2017 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine hosted the traditional reception for more than 500 best high school graduates from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, at the White Palace. This is the sixteenth year in a row that the Crown Prince Alexander’s Foundation for Education rewards our most successful high school graduates.

Every secondary school in Serbia and the Republic of Srpska selected the best among the graduates, to whom the Foundation for Culture and Education of Crown Prince Alexander gave a commendation and a prize as a recognition for the outstanding results achieved in their secondary education.

“I congratulate all the graduates on their success and I wish you to continue to be the best. You are our pride, and you should be proud of the knowledge that you have acquired”, said Crown Prince Alexander in his address. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander thanked the partners who greatly assisted the project – Eurobank, NCR and LINK Group.

The ceremony was attended by HE Mr. Mladen Sarcevic, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, HE Mr. Dane Malesevic, Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska, Prof. Ivan Vujacic, Member of the Executive Board of Eurobank, Mrs. Christine Belknap, the NCR talent development deputy, Mr. Nikola Subotic, executive director of the company LINK Group, academician Matija Beckovic, Mr. Branko Milutinovic, Managing Director of Nordeus, Mr. Samuil Petrovski, general secretary of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students, members of the Advisory Bodies of the Crown, as well as many people from the world of culture, art and science.

At the event, the best students of all secondary schools from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska were happy to welcome the news that the Link Group will award 20 scholarships for their prestigious IT Academy. The deadline for applications is July 15, and more information about the conditions for obtaining scholarships can be found at https://www.it-academy.com/itacademy-stipendija. Ten days after the expiration of the deadline for applications (25 July), the names of the scholarship winners will be announced, which will be handed to the selected students on Saturday, September 2, at 12:00 pm, at a reception at the White Palace.
The best high school students from all over Serbia and the Republic of Srpska enjoyed the verses of the poem “The South Land” by Slobodan Rakitic, recited by Dragan Vucelic, actor and TV host of Radio Television Serbia.
