Royal couple host reception at the Royal Palace for Serbian students who study abroad
Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine hosted a reception for Serbian students who study abroad at the most prestigious world universities and who participated in the project “Meet Serbia”, also present were representatives of local municipalities that took part in the project and other distinguished guests at the Royal Palace today.
This project was implemented in 12 municipalities throughout Serbia by the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) in cooperation with the HRH Crown Prince Alexander Foundation for Education, with the support of Telenor Foundation, Belgrade Airport and the Swiss Embassy.
The distinguished speakers at the reception were HRH Crown Prince Alexander, H.E. Mr. Erwin Helmut Hoffer, the Swiss ambassador to Serbia, Mr. Milan Simic, NALED Programme Director, Mrs. Jasmina Vignjevic, Telenor Head of Department for Government Relations, Mr. Sasa Paunovic, President of the Municipality of Paracin and Mrs. Una Kubota, student who participated in the project.
After the speeches, Mr. Milan Simic from NALED presented HRH Crown Prince Alexander, H.E. Mr. Erwin Helmut Hoffer and Mrs. Jasmina Vignjevic with certificates, and afterwards all the students who participated in the project.
The goal of the project is to connect with the Serbian Diaspora and to encourage young and educated people to come back to Serbia and to work here for the benefit of the country.
